Who RAICC is for
The Introductory Certificate is deliberately broad. It suits anyone who needs to understand and use AI responsibly — technical or not, and at any age.
Organisations adopting AI
RAICC gives whole teams a shared language and a practical operating model for safe AI adoption. It is designed for:
- Public sector bodies and local councils introducing AI into services and decisions.
- Private sector organisations building workforce AI readiness and governance.
- Education providers, schools and colleges teaching and using AI responsibly.
- Charities and the third sector adopting AI with limited specialist resource.
- SMEs that need practical governance without a large compliance function.
Individuals and lifelong learners
Because the certificate is age-inclusive and needs no maths or coding, it also works for people building personal AI literacy — including learners who are not currently in education, employment or training. The everyday-use module focuses on using AI tools safely, spotting misinformation and protecting personal data.
What you don't need
You do not need a technical background, programming skills or prior AI knowledge. Every concept is introduced from first principles, with scenarios and activities rather than theory alone.
The outcome
Learners finish able to recognise AI risks, understand who is accountable, apply the People–Process–Infrastructure–Data model, and use AI more safely at work and in everyday life — backed by a certificate and digital badge.
